About the Los Angeles Division

Welcome!

The Los Angeles County Division is the largest of 16 regional divisions of the League of California Cities and is comprised of 86 cities in Los Angeles County, from the smallest in population (City of Vernon) to the largest (City of Los Angeles) of the state's 480 cities. The League's Los Angeles County Division strives to provide its members with information to assist in providing high-quality service to cities and their citizens.

The major activities of the League's Los Angeles County Division include:

  • Promoting legislative advocacy on issues of importance to the division and the League.
  • Serving as a technical and advisory resource to the League through policy committee representatives.
  • Providing information to city officials regarding League activities and to provide an opportunity for members to share resources and experiences with other city officials through their list serve and meetings.

By the way, did you know that the Los Angeles County Division represents:

  • Over 11 million people 
  • 88 cities (of which 86 are Division members)
  • 4,500 square miles (one of the Nation's largest counties)
  • Over 550 elected officials
